Grade Court Justice Achievement Award
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
OF COURT MANAGERS
“JUSTICE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD”
In July of 1998, the San Juan County Grade Court was acknowledged for its commitment to youth in front of an audience of about one thousand professional Court Administrators in San Antonio, Texas. Each year the National Association of Court Managers (NACM) recognizes for significant and innovative court programs with National Justice Achievement awards.
At the annual meeting, Grade Court was one of three programs chosen out of over 36 programs from around the world. This year there were several programs from Singapore and Australia nominated. The State of Michigan was recognized for achievement made in training their court personnel to assist pro-se litigants. This project includes the use of interactive compact discs as an innovative training tool. The District of Columbia was recognized for accomplishment in rapid processing of Domestic Violence cases.
San Juan County Grade Court was the only single-county applicant that was acknowledged. It was an honor to be rated among programs which affect entire statewide populations. The assembled crowd was especially responsive to learn of the scholarship program available to Grade Court graduates.
Accepting on behalf of the Eleventh Judicial District Court in New Mexico was Gregory T. Ireland, Court Administrator.
